Leadingwell Associates was created in 1988. The firm was established to carry on some of the philosophies of the American Leadership Forum. Leadingwell’s founder, Joe Synan, had been president of the American Leadership Forum for three years. In particular, the principles of collaborative leadership and servant leadership were incorporated into Leadingwell’s approach to serving their clients. Over the years, the firm has been asked to assist a wide variety of different organizations in all sectors; business, not for profit, government, education, and religious.
The firm has developed a reputation for effectiveness in helping leadership groups plan and solve problems together. These leadership groups have been Boards of Directors, management teams, intercompany project teams, and community groups. The reputation of Leadingwell Associates has grown over the years such that all business today is obtained by word-of-mouth referrals.
